Joseph: I have no criticisms about your paper. I like the intro- related to Dad & Mom, the reference to English, and the change in how citizens get their news now. The statistics works well. I like that you explained your movie and the characters so we knew what was going on and who was who. That “grey” area, then explained in the following pages. From watching the TV show ‘24’ I agree that sometimes people want justice, no matter how it is done, but they don’t want to know about it. Then they will have no guilt that a criminal was harmed (even if it is just) and point the blame or finger at someone else. I really like that you were able to find that info on what spurred the director/writer to write this movie. It has more meaning behind it. Your counter argument is there for the anti –vigilante people, and that each person at some point in time will find some meaning or something that speaks to them. You put your own viewpoint in and make us think… maybe more into the conclusion. Nice job- your final, final will be a piece of cake.
This is an interesting topic you are working on with a lot of thoughts to weed through .I liked how you looked at the opposite side of the theme of your movie and you put a lot of time explaining how this may be the premise behind the plot .As you said to create the thought processes in our own minds to maybe get a little more involved in what is going on around us .I tend to think there is always room for a little vigilante in the world today . I am more than a little bit suspect of law enforcement today ,it seems they are at times nothing more than a legal gang just looking out for their own which we as taxpayers foot the bill for . I am going to get on the soapbox for just a minute here and say this ;if they would have helped me in the last five instances when I called them in ,instead of just writing a report and never hearing from them again I might feel a lot more confidence in the legal system . Anyway good paper but two things to look at 1st] 3rd paragraph …the line between good and evil and not that evil becomes greyer and greyer. ??? 2nd] paragraph on Dirty Harry ….cat and mouse throughout the city in their attempt to evade and catch each other ,one alive the other dead.???
